Today, we worked on turning your shoulders more in the takeaway and moving the club more to the outside so that it doesn’t get trapped behind you, which was part of the reason the club face hasn’t been squaring at impact. Nothing else changes until you groove this new movement into your swing. This will take a lot of range work this week. Maybe we can have a playing lesson again this weekend.

At home and throughout the week, practice the shoulder movement that I demonstrated today. If you have a pair of 2.5 to 5 pounds weights you could add those to the movement.

Also, practice the hands-together movement in practicing the takeaway.
